The author Sara still lives in the sterile modernist mansion that her architect ex-husband's designed. She struggles to come to terms with divorce and the loss of her only child. With the success of her latest novel comes a new wish to celebrate life. She rents out the basement to the colourful Serbian musician Bogdan, and suddenly the sterile house blooms into life.
